What the Extension Does

This extension overlays dual subtitles (e.g., English and Japanese) on videos across websites. It analyzes video and audio content in the browser to help users understand media in multiple languages.

Information We Collect

We store email and first name of authentication of user. upon signing up your username(email) is stored as well as first name to authenicate user.

Permissions Explained

• <all_urls> – Allows subtitles to be rendered on any site with media content.Permission is required for the extension to function correctly but only used for subtitle rendering and not for data collection.
• storage – Used to save your language preferences locally and server side.
• scripting & activeTab – Allows code injection to detect and display subtitles.
• tabs – Helps determine which tab you’re viewing to sync subtitle rendering.
• notifications – (Optional) Used to notify when subtitles are available.
• sidePanel – For rendering subtitle or settings UI components.
• tabCapture & offscreen – Used to extract and transcribe audio .

What We Don't Do

• ❌ We do not collect your browsing history
• ❌ We do not store any personally identifiable information
• ❌ We do not sell or share any user data

Transcription via server

Audio snippets captured for transcription are transmitted securely to our server for processing. We do not retain audio recordings beyond what is necessary for transcription.

Updates

We may revise this policy periodically. If we make significant changes, we’ll notify you via the Chrome Web Store listing or extension changelog.
